Present findings about genital warts and the human papillomavirus or HPV which causes it had established the cause and effects of the infection which grows on the genital and anal areas of a person. Genital warts that have grown on the vagina can cause the tissues to be less elastic which can cause an obstruction when the child is coming out. Also, ask your doctor about genital warts located on the urinary that are growing larger as the pregnancy progresses. It can obstruct normal urination making the process painful.

But though genital warts can cause problems and complications in pregnant women, it rarely affects the child. But there are cases about genital warts that showed infants having warts inside their throats. If these warts are allowed to grow, they can obstruct the air passage which can endanger the life of the child. Such cases are remedied with laser surgery which is done on a regular basis to completely remove the warts.
